The goal of the Temple Terrace Public Library is to meet the information and recreational needs of the residents of Temple Terrace and its surrounding environs by providing both print and non-print materials and engendering a lifelong love of reading and learning. The library also strives to broaden the horizons of its users, promote intellectual freedom and provide for an enhanced quality of life.

Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library

The 25,000 square foot Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library, a gift from the Winn-Dixie Foundation, opened February 14, 2001 and serves the Carrollwood and Northdale communities as well as being the regional library for the Northwest area of Hillsborough County.

New Tampa Regional Library

New Tampa Regional Library is located within the residential communities of Cross Creek and is a convenient information resource for neighboring Pasco County residents. The library’s collection features a reference collection, both adult and juvenile books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, newspapers. Some materials are available in foreign languages. Computers are available for use in the library for internet access and accessing HCPLC, a gateway for databases and websites and the library’s catalog.

Upper Tampa Bay Regional Public Library

In November 2000, the Board of County Commissioners approved funding for construction of a 10,000 square foot community library in the Upper Tampa Bay area of Hillsborough County. Additional funding was approved in March 2003 to add 5,000 square feet for a total of 15,000 square feet.

Austin Davis Public Library

Located on the north side of Keystone Park and nestled between two wooded areas, the Austin Davis Public Library provides a large reading room, children’s area, quiet area, electronic media area, meeting room and kitchen. Today the library houses a collection of nearly 40,000 volumes with additional access to material from all over the county via the online catalog, THOR. The library also provides Internet access & office productivity software. Other electronic products include the Information Gateway, a collection of online databases with some full-text access.

Lutz Branch Library

Lutz is a geographical area in northern Hillsborough County. The name Lutz comes from W.P. Lutz, a young engineer from West Virginia, who built a saw mill in the area and later connected two railroad lines at what became known as “Lutz Junction.” The commercial heart of Lutz lies at the intersection of U.S. Highway 41 and Sunset Lane. The library, a medium sized branch of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System, is just under ½ mile north of that intersection, at the corner of Highway 41 and Lutz-Lake Fern Road.

Seffner-Mango Branch Library

Situated in eastern Hillsborough County between the communities of Seffner and Mango, the brand new Seffner-Mango Branch Library is a 15,000 square foot building with 35,000 new materials for a total collection of 75,000. Amenities include a large community room, study rooms, a separate children’s department, a Friends of the Library bookstore, and a science room which will emphasize science education and provide students of all ages with unique experiences and learning opportunities. The Seffner-Mango Branch Library celebrated its Grand Opening on January 15, 2009 with a ribbon-cutting celebration that included County Commissioners and County Administrator Pat Bean.

Thonotosassa Branch Library

The Thonotosassa Branch Branch Library is proud to be celebrating almost a decade of service to the Thonotosassa and surrounding northeastern Hillsborough County area. Open to the community since July of 1989, this community library has built a collection of fiction and nonfiction, adult, young adult and children’s materials exceeding 40,000 volumes. In addition the library has a growing selection of videos and books on audio tape.
